The Israeli military prohibited residents of over 60 villages in southern Lebanon from returning to their homes near the border. The ban, announced by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Avichai Edri, warns that civilians attempting to return could face attacks. The affected villages include Shebaa, Marjayoun, Bint Jbeil, and Naqoura, among others.
The announcement establishes a no-go zone across several areas, urging residents to stay away "until further notice," with the military claiming the measure is necessary for safety amid ongoing tensions.
This restriction comes despite a ceasefire between the warring parties.
