The Israeli military said a navy missile ship intercepted a drone over the Mediterranean Sea.

The unmanned aircraft was approaching Israel from the east when it was destroyed, according to a statement. No air attack alerts were triggered during the incident.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli air force intercepted another aerial target launched from the east. In that case, air attack alerts were activated, but the military did not specify where the interception occurred or who was responsible for launching the drone.
