The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) shared on Friday that it killed the head of Hamas' operations in Jenin, Wassam Hazem.
According to the military, Hazem was killed in an exchange of fire with the Israeli forces and is suspected of directing "shooting" and "bomb" attacks in the area. Two more armed "terrorists" were also killed in the clashes.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz previously accused Iran of smuggling weapons into the West Bank through Jordan in order to establish "an eastern terror front against Israel."
