The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said at least 30 rockets were launched from Lebanon and were intercepted by the Iron Dome near the cities of Safed, Sde Eliezer, Alma, and Ruheinah in northern Israel. It reported no damage or casualties.
The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah took responsibility for the attack. It claimed it "bombed the newly established headquarters of the 91st Brigade at the 'Eilit' base with dozens of Katyusha rockets in response to the assassination carried out by the enemy in Kafr Dajal."
