The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet said in a joint statement on Thursday that they killed the Hamas spokesman, Abdul Latif al-Qanou, who they say was also a part of the militant group's military wing.
"Al-Qanou systematically used media platforms for propaganda, psychological terror, and the dissemination of false information about Hamas' activities in Gaza and beyond," the IDF and Shin Bet said in the statement, adding that he was killed during the Israeli forces' attack in the northern part of the Gaza Strip last night.
The confirmation follows several evacuation orders that the IDF issued in the Gaza Strip yesterday, warning of incoming raids and attacks.
