The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement published on X (formerly Twitter) that its forces struck a Hamas command and control center on the site of a former school in Gaza City.
According to the IDF, Hamas used the complex to plan and carry out "terrorist operations" against its forces and Israeli civilians. In addition, the military stated it used precision weapons to minimize the chances of harming the civilian population in the area.
Israel will continue to strike the militant group's facilities, the statement said.
