Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Wednesday that it attacked a military site in the Gaza Strip overnight, claiming the site belonged to Hamas, as well as several vessels in Gaza's coastal area.
The Israeli army stated the military site was located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip and that there were preparations to use the site for firing into Israeli territory. The military also said that its naval forces attacked vessels that were "intended for carrying out terrorist acts by the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations."
IDF's renewed attacks in the Gaza Strip come amid Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement that his country resumed full-scale military operations against Hamas due to failed negotiations regarding the release of Israeli hostages.
