Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Tuesday that the IDF will investigate the "incident" in which an airstrike killed seven aid workers for World Central Kitchen (WCK) in the Gaza Strip, including at least three foreign nationals. He said that the inquiry will "reduce the risk of such an event occurring again" and that its findings "will be shared transparently," stressing that the IDF is "committed to international law."
Hagari said Israel has cooperated with the WCK since the start of the conflict with Hamas on October 7, stating they carry out a "vital mission of bringing food to people in need." He added the IDF expresses "sincere sorrow to our allied nations who have been doing and continue to do so much to assist those in need."
