Israel's Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on Wednesday to deny Tel Aviv greenlit the Palestinian Authority (PA) to oversee the Gazan side of the Rafah Border Crossing with Egypt.
The statement accused the PA of trying to "create the false impression," underscoring that Israel’s Shin Bet intelligence agency will supervise the crossing. However, it went on to clarify that non-Hamas affiliated Palestinians will handle technical management.
It was previously reported that the PA was given control under the agreement between Shin Bet head Ronen Bar, Mossad chief David Barnea, and Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad.
