Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement to confirm that two of their soldiers were killed in an attack on a military checkpoint in the West Bank on Tuesday.
Eight others were wounded, with two reported to be in serious condition. The incident happened after the attacker dressed to impersonate an Israeli uniform infiltrated a gourd post close to the Palestinian village of Tayasir in the northern West Bank and opened fire. The IDF killed the perpetrator.
Earlier today, Hamas accused Israel of violating the ceasefire deal by failing to provide more humanitarian aid to Gaza civilians, while the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated it was unable to establish any communication with Israeli authorities.
