Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz (pictured) said on Monday he canceled all the programmed meetings between his ministry's officials and United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini due to allegations that some UNRWA workers participated in the attack against Israel conducted on October 7, 2023.
"Lazzarini should draw conclusions and resign. Supporters of terrorism are not welcome here," the minister posted on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Since Israel revealed those allegations, several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria and Canada, have decided to stop funding UNRWA.
