The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Wednesday that approximately 90 rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel, marking one of the largest barrages carried out by Hezbollah.
The extensive rocket attack is thought to be a retaliation by the terror group for the killing of a top commander in a strike the previous night. During the barrage, the city of Tiberias was targeted for the first time since the being of the war.
The IDF noted that their air defense systems intercepted several of the rockets, while others landed in various locations. Earlier reports suggested that the attack was carried out with over 100 rockets.
