Israeli military says it's striking 'terror targets' in Beirut

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced it is conducting strikes against "terror targets" in Beirut, roughly an hour after it issued a new call for residents of parts of the capital city's southern suburbs to evacuate.

"An Israeli air strike targeted Beirut's southern suburbs," an unnamed Lebanese security source told AFP a short while ago, while AFP correspondents heard the sound of an explosion from the area.
