Israeli strikes hit buildings in Rafah

The Israeli army targeted residential buildings in Rafah city in southern Gaza, Al Jazeera Arabic reported. According to the news agency, the strikes hit the city center, causing significant destruction.

Meanwhile, heavy clashes erupted between Palestinian armed groups and Israeli troops in the as-Saftawi area in northern Gaza.

No immediate reports of casualties were available.
