Japan's trade deficit on the balance of payments (BOP) basis landed at ¥155.7 billion in October, the country's Finance Ministry said in its report published on Monday. The previous month, the nation recorded a deficit of ¥315.2 billion.

Exports rose by 2.9% year-on-year, while imports decreased by 0.7% annually.
