Amazon.com Inc. CEO Andy Jassy told CNBC in an interview released on Thursday that the firm will do everything in its power to try and keep prices low.
Addressing the global trade war and tariffs, he added that Amazon's big network of third-party sellers could try to "pass that cost on" to consumers. "I understand why, I mean, depending on which country you're in, you don't have 50% extra margin that you can play with," Jassy commented.
He remarked that given the current situation, it is "hard to know" what will happen in the future, as there is "a lot of flux."
