United States House Speaker Mike Johnson told Politico on Wednesday, when talking about the budget blueprint, that the House of Representatives "will get it done."

The House Republicans have been going through a rift as some key representatives continue to not support the budget resolution. Representative Eric Burlison insisted that he wouldn't be changing his vote, adding that he expects the bill to fail if its brought to the House floor. Representative Chip Roy also stood firm in his conviction that the bill shouldn't pass. "Stop lying to the American people that you can just magically put something on a board and say, 'Oh, it all pays for itself.' It doesn't," Roy commented.

When asked whether he anticipates US President Donald Trump to call the holdout Republicans, Johnson explained that while the head of state offered to do so, "I hope it doesn't come to that."
