Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi (pictured) stated on Monday in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is risking the ceasefire and hostage release deal with Hamas by bombing Gaza's southern city of Rafah.
He expressed that the deal was a result of "tremendous efforts" and that Netanyahu should consider the proposal Hamas put out in earnest if he genuinely wants it to go through.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said earlier today that the country's war cabinet decided to go ahead with the planned military operation in Rafah as it was not satisfied with the truce proposal Hamas accepted.
