Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi (pictured) warned Friday that if the international community and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) find ways to stop Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's continued military actions, the conflict in the region could "get much more dangerous."

Speaking outside of the UNSC where other regional leaders were present, Safadi stressed that Netanyahu's escalatory measures against Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and holy sites, as well as actions in Lebanon, are pushing the region toward a potential war.

Safadi highlighted that unless the international community takes steps to halt the Israeli government, the threats to regional peace will grow. "Unless Netanyahu is stopped," he said, "the future of the entire region, including Israel, will be compromised and we'll be talking about a future war."
