Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud criticized Friday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for failing to mention Palestine and Palestinians in his "quite lengthy statement" at the 79th United Nations General Assembly Debate.
He emphasized that without addressing the Palestinian cause, achieving lasting peace and stability in the region will be impossible. Bin Farhan underscored the importance of recognizing the formation of a Palestinian state, which he believes is essential for promoting normalization and cooperation among countries in the region.
"This is exactly the problem because without addressing the issue of Palestine, it will not be possible to reach the true potentials of regional peace and stability," the Saudi FM said to journalists in a joint conference with other regional leaders of Arab-Islamic countries outside of the United Nations Security Council.
