Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his Friday evening address that Kiev has done "everything possible" to ensure its EU candidacy status, and can now only wait for the decision of the European Council.
"The only thing left is to wait for the decision of the European Council next week. And I believe that Ukraine has done everything possible for this step to be positive as well – the decision of the European Council, i.e. the leaders of the EU states," he noted.
Earlier today, Zelensky thanked British Prime Minister Boris Johson for the support the United Kingdom is showing to his country, adding that Kiev and London share common views on how to move toward the victory of Ukraine.
