White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby deplored Monday the recent attacks by Houthi forces on international ships, saying the deceased crew Filipino member from the M/V Tutor, a Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned vessel and the one injured in the M/V Verbena a Palauan-flagged were "not guilty of any crime" warranting such a tragic outcome.

He stressed that both vessels had "nothing to do whatsoever" with the Israel-Hamas conflict that the Houthis claim to defend as a reason for continuing attacks.
