Assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin for Foreign Policy Yury Ushakov (pictured left) said on Tuesday that the head of state will use his upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia to seek to explore the ways the two countries can cooperate in the field of energy.
Speaking to reporters, Ushakov confirmed Putin will meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discuss their countries' relations as members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners (OPEC+). He stressed the importance of that link for stability in the global energy market.
Furthermore, Ushakov confirmed Putin's delegation to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will include the leaders of Russian oil companies.
