Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday that Russia and the United States are starting to normalize bilateral relations.
"We are probably at the beginning of our path to normalizing relations, to building them virtually anew," Peskov noted and added that Russia's contacts with American Special Envoy Steve Witkoff "are extremely useful and very effective" as they can ensure that both sides can convey positions on certain issues "first-hand."
Last week, Witkoff visited Moscow where he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin for over four hours.
