Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on his Twitter account on Friday that he had a telephone call with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and the two discussed the topic of new military assistance to Kiev.
"I emphasized the need for Ukraine to receive Western-type tanks," Kuleba underlined, adding that the two also talked about how Washington and the international community could "ramp up" support for Kiev.
The Ukrainian official also noted that they touched upon the matter of introducing further sanctions against Moscow. "Grateful to the US for standing with Ukraine," Kuleba concluded.
