Scholz: Predicted severe recession hasn't materialized

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Tuesday that the "severe recession" that many were predicting "has not materialized."

Speaking at an event organized by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), Scholz added that the crisis management in energy replacement was done successfully and at a fast pace.

"These were and are great challenges that we will overcome together," the chancellor noted.
