Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic said on Friday that 24 citizens of the country have died as a result of the clash with Tajikistan that erupted early in the morning, while 87 people have been injured. Both sides accused the other of starting the conflict, however, the two countries did manage to agree a ceasefire during the day, while also promising they will establish a special commission to objectively investigate what had happened.
The conflict emerged almost at the same time with the latest tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia. All four countries used to be a part of the Soviet Union.
