Moscow and Beijing are focused on bolstering their strategic partnership, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
"Russia and China are united not only by historical and wartime brotherhood, a long shared border, but also by centuries-old traditions of good neighborliness and a broad alignment of national interests. This is exactly the direction set by our leaders - President Putin and Chairman Xi Jinping," Lavrov underscored.
He added that during recent video talks and prior phone conversations, the two heads of state reaffirmed their mutual intent to steadily reinforce the "Russia-China nexus."
