US mixed at open, Fed move on the horizon

Major stock exchanges on Wall Street traded mixed at the open on Monday as investors braced for important announcements. All eyes will be on the United States inflation print scheduled for Tuesday, which will then be followed by the Federal Reserve's monetary policy update on Wednesday. On the earnings front, Oracle will be releasing its quarterly financial report after the closing bell.

The Dow Jones was up 0.14% at the opening bell, wit Amgen up 1.60% at 9:31 am ET. At 9:30 am ET, the S&P 500 lost 0.10%, with Albemarle tumbling 4.96% at 9:32 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 declined 0.13% at the beginning of the trading session, as JD.com plunged 4.91% at 9:31 am ET.

The euro traded 0.12% below the dollar at 9:29 am ET, selling for 1.07500.
