Russia plans to impose sanctions on the leading figures of states that Moscow placed on its "unfriendly countries" list, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

During a press conference, Peskov described the seizure of the Russian citizens' assets abroad as "state banditism."

Earlier this week, Russia sanctioned some of the United States' top officials, including its President Joe Biden, as well as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
