German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Thursday that the close export relations between Germany and China are unhealthy for the country's economy.
The head of the Finance Ministry pointed out that, although it is impossible to compare Russia with China in relation to German dependence on energy supplies, "it is clear ... that this too strong export-oriented bilateralism between Germany and China is not healthy either."
Lindner recommended that Germany should actively seek more economic opportunities in the United States, Canada, the MERCOSUR area, and the ASEAN countries.
