Lucid Group, Inc. has reached an agreement to acquire Nikola Corporation's former facilities in Arizona, pending approval from the US Bankruptcy Court. In a statement on Friday, the electric vehicle manufacturer said the acquisition includes the Coolidge and Phoenix sites, adding over 884,000 square feet to Lucid's operation.
Lucid will also offer employment to over 300 former Nikola employees in various technical and manufacturing roles.
"Today's announcement is fantastic news for Arizona workers and our state's growing EV and battery manufacturing industry," Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs said.
