French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that the country's new government will be appointed after the Olympic Games, which take place from July 26 to August 11.
"Until mid-August, we must be focused on the Games, from then on, depending on the progress of the discussions, it will be my responsibility to appoint a Prime Minister and entrust him or her with the task of forming a government and having the broadest possible gathering to enable him or her to take action and ensure stability," Macron stated on French public national television channel France 2.
Furthermore, Macron ruled out the possibility of resigning and assured that he will serve until the end of his term.
