United Kingdom's Prime Minister Theresa May voiced her support for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Wednesday, claiming it was the best way of preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, May expressed her belief that the inspections of the nuclear facilities conducted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were the best way of ensuring compliance with the agreement.
In addition, the English prime minister accused Russia of "flagrantly" breaking international laws by annexing sovereign territory and using chemical weapons in Britain, adding Moscow "sought to obfuscate [Britain's efforts] through desperate fabrication."
Earlier, London claimed two Russian citizens, suspects in the poisoning of Sergey Skripal and his daughter were actually military intelligence. Russian President Vladimir Putin denied the claims, saying that the two are innocent civilians, while the two gave an interview to Russia Today afterwards, insisting they were tourists.
