British Prime Minister Theresa May is to meet French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron (pictured) in London later today.

Macron came to England’s capital to speak to 3,000 French voters. While in London, he requested a meeting with the prime minister. May’s spokesman said the two will discuss a “broad range” of issues, Brexit included, adding the meeting did not imply the government favored Macron’s candidacy.

Downing Street confirmed there will be no meeting with Macron’s rival, the Front National’s Marine Le Pen.

Former UK Independence Party leader and Member of the European Parliament Nigel Farage tweeted, “Is Theresa May making the same mistake she made with Trump by refusing to meet Le Pen?”
