Musk blasts NBC after criticism over Twitter bid

EPA-EFE/JUSTIN LANE

Elon Musk slammed Comcast Corporation's MSNBC television channel on Monday after one of its hosts, Mehdi Hasan, criticized the entrepreneur's potential acquisition of Twitter Inc.

Hasan said on air that the previous week could be a "pivotal moment when a petulant and not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the most influential messaging machines and just handed it to the far-right" and "pro-neo-Nazis," referring to the faction of the Republican party that supports former United States President Donald Trump.

"NBC basically saying Republicans are Nazis... Same org that covered up Hunter Biden laptop story, had Harvey Weinstein story early & killed it & built Matt Lauer his rape office. Lovely people," Musk replied on Twitter.
