China to keep working on Middle East crisis de-escalation

The Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Lin Jian (pictured) stated on Friday that Beijing will keep working to contribute to soothing the situation in the Middle East.

"China opposes any actions that further escalate tensions and will continue to play a constructive role to de-escalate the situation," Lin said at a press conference.

China's comments came after Israel's reported retaliatory attack on Iran.
