Billionaire Elon Musk said Brazil is "shutting down the #1 source of truth" in the country after Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes ordered that Musk's social media platform X be shut down. The decision was made after X disregarded the court's earlier request and failed to appoint a legal representative in Brazil.
"The oppressive regime in Brazil is so afraid of the people learning the truth that they will bankrupt anyone who tries," Musk claimed. "Free speech is the bedrock of democracy and an unelected pseudo-judge in Brazil is destroying it for political purposes."
