Elon Musk will reportedly pay a visit to the Pentagon on March 21 after an invitation from United States Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, according to the US Defense Department.

“The Defense Department is excited to welcome Elon Musk to the Pentagon on Friday. He was invited by Secretary Hegseth and is just visiting,” CNN reported, citing Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell. The visit comes amid the Pentagon's consideration of major cuts to the US military amid the administration's push to downsize the federal government.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that Musk will supposedly be briefed on the US military's top-secret plan in case of war with China. US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to dismiss the rumors, claiming that "China will not even be mentioned or discussed."
