North Korea announced that it had conducted another test of a nuclear-capable underwater drone this week. The North tested the Haeil-2 from April 4-7, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Saturday.
The uncrewed aircraft traveled an "oval and figure-eight" trajectory simulating a distance of 1,000 kilometers in the East Sea for 71 hours and six minutes and detonated a test warhead underwater.
The trial came two weeks after another test of the Haeil-2. The country claims the drone can trigger a "radioactive tsunami" and stealthily attack its enemies.
