North Korean leader Kim Jong-un held the year-end meeting of the country's ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) to discuss state policies implemented in 2023, as well as those planned for 2024, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Kim attended the plenary meeting of WPK's Central Committee and remarked that the year 2023 was a "year of great turn and great change," for the country. He further added that the year was filled with "eye-opening victories" and that Pyongyang strengthened its "national power."
According to the state-run news agency, the meeting's discussions orbited around six major agenda topics, including the review of state policies, as well as a string of issues concerning the strengthening of the party's leadership function.
