North Korea said on Saturday that any attempt by the United States to disable Pyongyang's military reconnaissance satellite would be seen as a "declaration of war." Earlier in the week, a US Space Command official suggested the US might take measures to "deny" North Korea's space capabilities, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap.
"In case the US tries to violate the legitimate territory of a sovereign state by weaponizing the latest technologies illegally and unjustly, the DPRK will consider taking responsive action measures for self-defense to undermine or destroy the viability of the US spy satellites by exercising its legitimate rights vested by international and domestic laws," the North Korean Defense Ministry said.
