North Korea has informed the Japanese Coast Guard that it plans to launch a satellite between August 24 and August 31, Japan's Kyodo News reported.
"The plan is believed to be a retry of a military reconnaissance satellite launch North Korea attempted in May, but that ended in failure," Kyodo explained in its report.
Back in May, Pyongyang tried to launch its first military spy satellite. However, the process didn't go as planned, with the rocket crashing into the Yellow Sea.
