Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu accused the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) of providing classified intelligence to Ukraine, during the joint meeting of the Russian and Belarusian defense ministries on Wednesday.
Shoygu disclosed that the alliance also engages in direct target designation, information and sanctions warfare against Moscow, and the deployment of foreign mercenaries to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Russian defense minister also underlined that NATO's expansion near the borders of Russia has grown significantly since February, with the alliance's groupings being positioned in Eastern and Central Europe, as well as Baltic countries. Shoygu forewarned that future troop numbers would rise even further.
