NBC may make its streaming service free - report

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is considering a version of its streaming service Peacock free for its users, media reported on Friday.

The service would be ad-supported, CNBC said, citing people close to the matter, adding an ad-free version would also be available to those willing to pay.

Previously, Comcast's subsidiary considered making Peacock free only to cable subscribers and Comcast broadband customers.
