Most major stock exchanges in the United States fell deeper into the red territory on Thursday, with the Nasdaq 100 leading the losses, as Tesla joined the tech sector sell-off prompted by the United States' inflation reading for June. Arm, NVIDIA, Lam, Meta, Airbnb, Netflix, Micron, Intel, Costco, Intel and Broadcom dragged the index down, sliding over 4%.
The Nasdaq 100 nosedived 2.42% or 500 points and the S&P 500 declined 0.98% at 2:09 pm ET with Tesla Inc. falling 7.33% on both indexes. A minute later, the Dow Jones added 0.18% points with Home Depot Inc. improving 2.45%.
The euro was 0.31% higher than the dollar at 2:12 pm ET, going for 1.08634.
