Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban for Budapest's decision to cut ties with the International Criminal Court. Speaking at a press conference following their meeting in Budapest, Netanyahu called the Hague-based tribunal a "corrupt organization" and accused it of bias against Israel.
"You have just taken a bold and principled stance on the ICC," Netanyahu told Orban, calling the move "important for all democracies." According to Netanyahu, Hungary is "the first - though likely not the last - country to break away from this corruption and decay."
