Netanyahu: Hamas-ISIS responsible for harm to civilians

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that only "Hamas - ISIS" should be blamed for harm to civilians in the Gaza Strip, denying that Israel is responsible for the situation in the region.

Netanyahu reiterated that "Hamas-ISIS" is using civilian objects as "terrorist command centers," preventing civilians from leaving areas of intense fighting, using them as human shields and holding Israeli children, women and the elderly hostage. "The crimes being committed today by Hamas-ISIS in Gaza will be committed tomorrow in Paris, New York and all over the world. The leaders of the world should be condemning Hamas - ISIS, not Israel," Netanyahu claimed.

His statement follows remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron, who called on Israel to stop bombing innocent people in Gaza as, in his view, there is "no reason for that and no legitimacy."
