Entertainment company Nintendo announced on Friday that its profit for its fiscal first quarter of 2024 plunged 55% to 80.9 billion Japanese yen (around $543 million).
The Japanese gaming giant sold 2.1 million Switch units in the quarter ending June 30, down 46% from last year. This resulted in revenues of 246.6 billion yen ($1.65 billion).
Despite the downturn, the company maintains its forecast of 13.5 million unit sales for the fiscal year.
