Nintendo teams up with Tencent for China sales

Japanese consumer electronics company Nintendo made a deal with Tencent to distribute its recently launched console Switch on the Chinese market, the companies announced on Wednesday. The sales are expected to begin on December 10 while the console is priced 2,099 yuan ($297).

Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Nintendo's famous Mario series, was pleased with the agreement, reminding that his company has been trying to offer gaming entertainment to Chinese consumers for ages."

Previously, the console-maker failed twice to enter the Chinese entertainment market due to demanding regulations in China.
